Nigerian 419 Scam!

It must be my lucky day! I just found a Nigerian 419 scam in my spam box. I'm soooo excited - I've never gotten one of these before. It's like Christmas in January.

Here's the text of the scam letter. I'm cutting and pasting it as I got it. For those how don't know what these are, read the link above - and ALWAYS remember that these people are CRIMINALS. I mock them whenever possible, but unfortunately, they do occasionally trick someone in to giving them money.

NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES reply to their messages. And if you do send them a snarky "piss off" message, which again, you should NEVER DO - for the love of all that is good in the world, DO NOT DO IT FROM YOUR REGULAR EMAIL ADDRESS.

And it should (but often doesn't) go without saying that you don't give them any important numbers, like your SSN, credit cards, bank accounts, address, birthdates, or anything. Just don't do it. Ever. Nothing good will come from it. Nothing.

So with that warning in mind, here's the message. Enjoy.

I can't believe they are STILL pulling this bullcrap. Are people really falling for this? Even with all the news coverage over the years begging people NOT to do it?

Wow. Amazing.

They are still at it, although it's likely that most of their time is wasted by scambaiters, who probably outnumber actual potential victims by now. For a lighthearted approach to this sport, visit:
